A Great School Year!

Now that I've had a few weeks to glide into summer mode, it's time to reflect on the past year.  Students in grades 9 through 12 made great strides toward developing their skills and their confidence.  We experimented with new materials and techniques, and sometimes I felt more like a student than a teacher! One of the biggest changes I noticed in the past year was the impact that technology had on our class.  We explored new artworks by using the Google Art Project and we met some fascinating people by using Skype.  Thanks to Wes Fryer and Kevin Hodgson, grade 9 students created their own stop motion films, which were honoured in our first-ever Film Festival!  It's exciting to think of the discoveries we will be making next year.  I can't wait to meet my new students in September, and look forward to learning together!
